Why Chomedey, Laval matters.

Chomedey is named for Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve, the founder of Montréal. It was its own town on Île Jésus before the 1965 merger that created the city of Laval, and it grew through the 1960s and 1970s as families crossed the river looking for space, a driveway and a yard.

West Laval now holds a growing Jewish community alongside long-established Greek, Italian, Armenian and Lebanese ones, with schools, grocers and community buildings clustered near Saint-Martin and Notre-Dame. Ties to Côte Saint-Luc, Hampstead and Snowdon are constant: family, school, appointments, simchas.

Everything here depends on the bridges. Highway 13 and Highway 15 both cross to the island and both back up at predictable hours, so the difference between a calm arrival and a late one is leaving eight minutes earlier. That is our job, not yours.

FAQ

Chomedey, Laval, asked and answered.

Do you pick up in Laval, or only on the island?
Laval is part of our regular driving area. Our base is in Terrebonne, a few minutes north, so early-morning pickups in Chomedey do not start with a long empty drive.
How do you handle bridge traffic to the airport?
We set the pickup time against your flight and the hour of day, watch both crossings before leaving, and take the one that is moving. The airport rate is flat, so the route does not change the price.
Can one booking cover Laval and Montréal stops?
Yes. Add every stop when you book and you get one car, one driver and one price for the whole day, wherever the stops sit.
